Review guidelines

Last updated: 10 July 2026

Leilosoc Reviews is Leilosoc's official reviews platform. These guidelines exist to ensure that every published review is genuine, useful and trustworthy. By submitting a review, you confirm that you have read them and agree to follow them.

Who can write a review

You may leave a review if you have had a genuine, recent experience with Leilosoc — a purchase, a bid or direct contact with our services — within the last 12 months. The date of experience stated in the form must be accurate.

Your review must describe your own experience, in the first person. Reviews written on behalf of third parties, or based on other people's experiences or second-hand information, are not accepted.

Verified and organic reviews

Verified reviews originate from an invitation sent after a confirmed purchase. The “Verified” badge means we have confirmed that the author completed a real transaction with Leilosoc.

Organic reviews are submitted spontaneously through the website by anyone with an eligible experience. In those cases, we require the email address to be confirmed with a verification code before publication. Organic reviews do not carry the “Verified” badge, but they are subject to the same rules and the same moderation.

Prohibited content

You may not publish:

  • false or misleading content, or content written on behalf of third parties, including reviews of experiences you did not have;
  • defamatory statements, insults or unsubstantiated accusations of unlawful conduct;
  • personal data of third parties — names of employees included without their consent, phone numbers or email addresses, home addresses, vehicle registration plates or any other information that could identify another person;
  • advertising, promotion of other products or services, commercial links or spam;
  • hate speech, discrimination, threats or obscene content;
  • reviews written under a conflict of interest — in particular by employees, former employees, their close family members or competitors of Leilosoc;
  • illegal content or content that encourages illegal activities.

Incentives

Leilosoc does not offer payments, discounts, gifts or any other incentive in exchange for reviews — neither for positive reviews nor for reviews in general.

Post-purchase invitations are sent to all buyers, regardless of the expected sentiment of the review. Leaving a review is always optional.

Editing, removal and company replies

Authors can edit or delete their review at any time, using the link received by email or the “My review” area. Edited reviews display an “Edited” mark.

Leilosoc may reply publicly to any review. The reply is displayed next to the original review.

A review is only removed from the platform in two situations: when it violates these guidelines — a decision recorded in the moderation log — or at the author's own request. Leilosoc does not remove reviews merely because they are negative.

Flagging reviews

Any visitor can flag a review they believe breaches these guidelines, choosing a reason from a predefined list (not a genuine experience, advertising, personal data, defamation, conflict of interest, among others).

While the flag is being assessed, the review remains visible unless there are signs of a serious violation. A review that accumulates three or more open flags is temporarily hidden until the moderation team reaches a decision.

Moderation and appeals

Moderation is carried out by the Leilosoc Reviews team, which assesses incoming flags and each review's compliance with these guidelines. We aim to decide each case within an indicative period of 5 business days.

All moderation decisions are recorded. If you believe a decision was wrong — for example, the removal or retention of a review — you can appeal by writing to avaliacoes@leilosoc.pt. We will respond within an indicative period of 10 business days.
